I met Amy in Ullapool on Sat 17th July whilst taking a group out and was totally in awe of what she was undertaking:

A challenge to walk the entire coastline of mainland Great Britain to raise vital funds for Kidney Research UK.

On 1st February Amy set off from Guy's Hospital in London and headed east in an attempt to walk the entire coastline of mainland Great Britain. The journey will take approximately 8 months to complete and during the challenge she will be walking EVERY day, covering between 20 and 40 miles. To attempt this challenge she has given up her job, rented out her flat and put her personal life on hold.

Log onto her website (see below) and facebook group page (under amy goes coastal) to support her and the cause of the Kidney Research UK.
Anyone is welcome to join her at any time! Please invite all your friends and family to join 'Amy Goes Coastal' - She really needs your support!

Shaun Recovering from Operation (01st March 2010)

Picture
The week after working in the Lake District over the weekend of the 20th February, Shaun went into Raigmore hospital in Inverness for his long awaited double hernia operation.
All went well and after two days he was allowed to leave with the strict instructions to relax and take it easy (he will find this hard).
He is obviously in slight pain and shattered but is happy to have got this finally out of the way. Commenting on his hospital he said it was an experience hes never had, thought the NHS are great and the Doctors and Nurses very friendly, helpful and happy, he appreciates all they did for him.
His task for now is to relax and mend for six weeks before working hard to regain his fitness and trim stomach.

HE SENDS HIS WARMEST THANKS TO ALL WHO SENT 'GET WELL SOON' MESSAGES VIA EMAIL AND TEXTS. HE'LL BE BACK OUT THERE SOON!
